How Does The Online Auction Work?

If you would like to purchase items from the auction:

All you need to do is join our Facebook group and you will be able to see when the auction goes live.

From there, you bid on auction items. The auction facilitators do their best to account for lag time, and do a countdown before announcing an item has been won. The highest bid wins!

After the auction, someone from the club will be in contact via Facebook messenger to let you know your auction total.

Items can be picked up in St. Catharines or shipped to you at your cost.

If you choose to have your items shipped to you, the club will send you a shipping quote before mailing your package to you. The cost of your item (s) plus shipping must be sent via etransfer prior to the club mailing your package.

If you would like to enter items in the auction:

You must be a member to enter items into our online or in-person auctions. All items must be geology related.

Auction slips (available for download below) must be completed and items brought to where the auction is being held in advance of the auction.

The club has a commission fee of 20%. For example, if an item is sold for $10.00, you receive $8.00 and the club receives $2.00.
